Today we had another factory visit at Gartner. We missed one of our connecting trains, so we got there a bit later than planned. We were greeted by Erica who took us to their cafeteria for lunch. I apologize for no pictures, but they don’t allow cameras in their factories.
After lunch one of the sales reps gave a quick presentation about Gartner. They are a steel manufacturer and glass assemblies installer. They pretty much did the same as Seele, but on a larger scale. The Gartner rep was super nice and took us on a tour all around their campus. We saw mock ups of different windows assemblies and where these assemblies are actually made. We also visited their testing site. They do a lot of work in California, so they have special machines to simulate earthquakes and seismic waves.
They have worked on so many major buildings. The rep talked about the Uber headquarters, Apple headquarters, and Google headquarters to name a few. Their campus was super impressive, and everyone was so friendly.
After the visit, we got a train back to Munich and packed up to get ready to leave tomorrow.
