Walking Tour
Today we had a walking tour around Prague. We took the tram to the Cathedral at the top of the city and worked our way down back to our hotel. We went to the top of the Cathedral. All 320 steps. I've never felt so out of shape in my life. It was also a spiral staircase which didn't help. The view was really pretty, but I don't know if I'd do it again.

The Cathedral was beautiful inside. I love stained glass, and it had some really vibrant windows. Our tour guide told us about the history and explained different parts of the Cathedral. I thought it was cool they still have Sunday mass. There were also some statues of an old king and queen, and the guide told their story. Usually kings and queens were set up, so it was rare that they actually love each other. This couple though, really fell in love.

Next we got lunch, walked through a really pretty garden with peacocks, and visited the John Lennon wall. In the 80s during the communist reign, a protestor painted a big portrait of John Lennon and wrote a message on the wall. Now people can go to this wall and write any kind of message they want.

We continued walking across the St. Charles bridge, and worked our way over to the Old Town Square and eventually back to our hotel. It was a long day, miles wise, but I really enjoyed seeing so much of Prague. I love the old architecture and how they try to blend the new with the old.
