Olympic Park
We walked around the 2008 Olympic park. It was crazy to see the Water Cube and Bird's Nest in person. I'd seen it so much in on TV, but it really is amazing up close. They are also starting to get ready for the 2022 winter games. The Water Cube is being turned into the Ice Cube. No joke. Good marketing. They also had a countdown up, and some new construction starting. We got a ice cream cone at the McDonald's in the Bird's Nest. I don't know if it was the heat or what, but that ice cream cone changed my life. In the moment it tasted like ice cream from the Gods.

Good Wall? Great Wall!
After a hot pot buffet lunch, we started our journey to the Great Wall. We hit a bump in the road when our bus broke down, but we eventually made it. Our hotel was really cool. The lobby had two floors and some really good views. Our rooms were really cool, and you could tell whoever designed it definitely paid attention to detail.

We got to walk some of the wall before it got too dark, and let me tell you, it was unreal. You see pictures and hear about how amazing the construction of the wall was, but it is unbelievable in person. It seriously took my breath away.

We headed back to the hotel just as it was getting dark and all met up for dinner. We're planning on waking up tomorrow to go watch the sunrise and then take a gondola ride around 9, and I am hyped.
